Trapped Leaves : Deep in the heart of the woods, there is a stream.  As the stream meanders downhill, the water skips over rocks, branches and leaves.  Sometimes the water pools up in little alcoves that creep out from the sides of the river bed.  Leaves have gathered here and a layer of ice keeps them "frozen" in time.

Autumn : Hiked up Webb Mountain... at the top there was a beautiful view of the valley below - the Housatonic River snaking down toward Long Island Sound - but my eyes were diverted to this big, old, rotten tree - standing dark against the perfect sky... death outlined against vibrant blue skies and beautiful autumn colors.

Crescent Moon : Crescent moon rising - autumn 2007 over the reservoir in Huntington, CT.  I just had to stop and take this picture.  I liked the idea of day ending and night starting... captured on film.
